I’m very envious that your garden is so green and mine is under 2ft of snow..lol

I would find that challenging I must say – I’ve been interested in all the different solutions to the snow problem I’ve been reading about on all the US blogs.

It is sometimes recommended that you grow potatoes as your first crop on newly-cleared ground, because the roots break up the soil and the foliage stifles weeds by blocking out their light. Your photo demonstrates the latter very well!

  3. Just think of all those lovely potatoes developing underground!

    You too, eh?
Mine are all in gro bags and they STILL hog all the space!

  5. Andrea says:

Hi Liz, looking forward to all your future potato recipes as sure looks like your going to have a bumper crop! Im growing mine this year in bath tubs and an old water tank, so far all good.

My daughter would like to see this in our yard, potatoes, anyway, are her favourites.
